As beekeepers we see our role as caretakers of nature. We are custodians of the bees and the land which they forage and gather nectars and pollens from, among the native Mānuka plants.
The East Coast of New Zealand is renowned for its beautiful remote and unique landscape. With its beautiful vistas, rugged coastline, and diverse ecosystems, it provides a rich environment for bees, flora, fauna, and land conservation.

Not all honey is created equal
As our honey is harvested from the remote East Coast, far from busy cities, this results in a natural, raw product that is managed with care and attention by our highly experienced beekeepers. This isolation creates an environment that produces the best honey for you and your family.
Traceability
We can trace the source of your honey using the unique batch number printed on the label. This can be mapped, and you can see the site it was harvested from — or perhaps it is a blend of honeys from more than one location. Nurturing the environment
We take a light touch approach, with the bees harvesting the nectar and storing the honey in their hives. Mike and his team simply support the hives to thrive during the season, ensuring that the raw wilderness the hives occupy is left untouched.
Bee welfare
We prioritise the welfare of the hives, ensuring they're healthy and thriving. The bees have the freedom to fly where they want, allowing them to pollinate the surrounding area, which provides food for insects, animals, birds and people. We ensure that enough honey is left on the hives after collecting the honey frames in summer, so that the hives have a store of food for the winter.
Beekeeper well-being
We employ local people who have a deep connection to the land and passion for the natural environment. We look after our beekeepers so they can care for our bees.
